Beginning August 1, 2023, WIC is returning to in-person appointments. Clients will have the option to complete their appointments over the phone (ARPA waivers for physical presence only), with the MyNCWIC portal, via video conferencing, or in person.
Clients choosing virtual appointments are still required to provide WIC with proof of their address, ID, and income. For virtual appointments, you can send in required documents by emailing your documents to WIC, faxing the information to our local agency, uploading the documents to the MyNCWIC portal, or showing staff your documents in a video conference.
The WIC Program is a supplemental nutrition program that provides food, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support to income-eligible women who are pregnant, have recently given birth, or are breastfeeding, as well as infants and children up to five years of age.
The Brunswick County WIC Office is here to serve you. Please call your local WIC office between 8:30 am-5 pm. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment by phone. We ask that you please leave a message with your name and phone number and we will return your call as soon as possible.
In October 2017, the Brunswick County WIC program participated in the pilot program for eWIC. With the success of the pilot program, NC WIC was able to fully transition statewide to an electronic benefit redemption system. No more paper vouchers!
