Brunswick County Pediatric Clinic provides primary care for children ages 0–18 years of age. Services include:
• Physicals for routine well care
• Physicals for sports, daycare, kindergarten, and pre-operation exams
• Immunizations
• Sick visits
• Management of chronic conditions

Regular checkups are an important way to keep track of your child’s health and physical, emotional, and social development.
Routine Well-Child Exams include:
- Height/Weight
- Vision Screening
- Hearing Screening
- Developmental Screening
- Risk Screening
- Complete Physical Exam by Nurse Practitioner
- Age-appropriate lab tests
- Immunizations
- Guidance for Parents with age specific parent handouts
Sick visits are available for common illnesses and minor injuries.
Sick/Problem Visits include:
- Height/Weight
- Vital signs, including your child’s temperature
- Limited physical exam by Nurse Practitioner
- Lab tests as needed
- Prescription medications as needed
- Guidance for parents with illness specific handouts
- Referrals to specialists are provided as needed
Our Family Nurse Practitioner, Laura Quarino, is Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998 and her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from UNC-Charlotte in 2005. Laura joined Brunswick County Health Services in July, 2012, bringing a wealth of experience in Public Health and Family Medicine.
All childhood vaccinations will be offered at well child visits as per the CDC's recommended immunization schedules and the North Carolina Public School requirements.

Two blood lead screening tests are recommended for all children ages 1-5 years old. This screening is usually completed at the following ages:
- 12 months
- 24 months
- 36-72 months if the child has not been previously tested or the test results aren’t available
