Brunswick County Planning & Community Enforcement provides public planning services for unincorporated areas of Brunswick County that fall outside the planning jurisdictions of municipalities. The department’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, zoning, land subdivision, long-range and transportation planning, specialized planning initiatives, the issuance of Minor CAMA Permits, and also facilitates and supports the Brunswick County Planning Board, Board of Adjustment, and Technical Review Committee (TRC). Additionally, the Planning Department facilitates various land development projects and delivers policy and regulatory recommendations to the Board of Commissioners, Planning Board, and Board of Adjustment.
