Brunswick County has large areas of the county that are rural and underserved by County resources, including Libraries. By bringing Library services to these areas of the county, Brunswick County is preparing its citizens for success in early childhood, throughout their educational career, and into their adulthood & senior years with lifelong learning and entertainment.

Bookmobile services are run by a small, yet dedicated staff and their safety is extremely important to us. The Bookmobile operates as a mobile branch of the Brunswick County Library. All patrons seeking Bookmobile services must be able to adhere to the Conduct Policy for Brunswick County Libraries to ensure safe and appropriate conditions for our staff members.

To be considered eligible as a future stop for Bookmobile services, a facility, group, or event must:

• Be located in Brunswick County; and
• Be without the means to visit a library branch due in part to one or more of the following:
  • Child Care Center or Adult Care Facility not within walking distance to a library branch
  • Child Care Center, Adult Care Facility, or recreation center with limited to no transportation
  • Community partner requesting library presence at a location or special event
