Brunswick Soil & Water Conservation District

Welcome to the Brunswick Soil and Water Conservation District. We are dedicated to the promotion and management of natural resources through leadership, technical assistance and education for the benefit of Brunswick County citizens. We administer the North Carolina Agriculture Cost Share Program and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Natural Resource Conservation Services Cost Share Programs. We can help with conservation planning, drainage problems on agricultural lands, rental of the no-till drill and aerator, and provide access to historical aerial photos.

Latest News & Events

With hurricane season well underway, it is important to understand resources provided by the NC Division of Soil and Water Conservation and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Prior to inclement weather, it is important to report any stream obstructions, whether it be woody debris or sediment. The Division of Soil and Water Conservation administers the Streamflow Rehabilitation Assistance program that can provide grant funding to local governments to remove stream obstructions to restore streamflow. More information can be found here.  Additionally, following tropical events, if the state conservationist has declared that event a disaster, funding may be awarded to local governments to assist with damages that pose an eminent threat to life and property through the Emergency Watershed Protection Program. More information can be found here.
