Know How to Take Action
- Be the First to Act in Emergencies: No matter how fast professional emergency responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene.
- Every Minute Counts: A person experiencing life-threatening bleeding can die from blood loss within minutes, before first responders arrive.
- Anyone Can Learn: A bystander with STOP THE BLEED® training can slow or stop blood loss to keep someone alive until first responders arrive.
Find a training course and learn more about how to control bleeding on the ACS Stop the Bleed program website.
