Municipalities, Sanitary Districts, and Dosher Hospital

We conduct elections for 19 municipalities, 2 sanitary districts, and a public hospital. Elections for these jurisdictions are held in November of odd-numbered years.

Precinct Officials

Precinct officials operate the polls during early voting and on Election Day by providing services such as setting up the voting equipment, checking in voters, processing ballots, assisting voters with special needs, and closing down/securing the voting site at the end of the day.

Voting Systems

In January 2020, Brunswick County acquired a new voting system to replace the decertified iVotronic Direct Record Electronic voting machines that had been used since 2006.
