A Message From the Register, Dana Varnam

Welcome to the Brunswick County Register of Deeds. Our office provides numerous services to the working community and general public including recording legal documents and maps, issuing marriage licenses, certifying documents, and administering oaths. The Registers of Deeds is elected to a four-year term by the citizens of the county the registrar serves.

North Carolina General Statute 161-14 authorizes our office to record and file documents; however, we cannot give legal advice or help in preparing documents. See General Statutes Chapter 84.
